AVS In-Channel Window Visor

I would not advise an in-channel window visor. Go for a regular stick on vehicle window visor. I received the package from AVS with their vacuum sealed plastic pulling on the pre-applied double sided tape, thus pulling the backing off the tape before I wanted it to. Also, the visors itself fit in the window channels about 99.9% perfectly and would not stay in place unless I instantly closed the windows to hold them and and make the adhesive hold it over night. The rear passenger visor bowed a bit when I did the initial closing of window. The adhesive would not stick to the interior door/window material instantly and required to be held for some time. I have not driven with the windows open for a long period of time yet to test if it will hold.

Just read the instructions (plus read for a tip)

Installation was easy and straight forward. Follow the instructions that come with and you will not be disappointed. I went one step further and used my own isopropyl alcohol on a blue shop rag and cleaned like there was no tomorrow in my channels. It is a 2016 and had a fair share of dust in the channels. This is a short term review so I am not sure about longevity of the adhesive tape. But I installed these in 50F weather which is the minimum temp they recommend plus had good temps for the following days for the adhesive to cure. Rear windows slide up and down easily but my front windows were having issues going all the way up. It wasn't until hour 72 that it dawned on me I cleaned the channels like there was no tomorrow. So here is the tip if you clean the channels as well as I did. The rubber seals in the channel were so clean they were causing the window to stick at the top. Get some liquid spray silicone (the stuff that dries fast and doesn't leave a gummy residue) and wipe the channels with it. This will relubricate the channels and allow the window to slide freely! I almost called 4Runner Lifestyle and AVS to process a return but wanted to really give them a shot. Now that the window closes nicely up front I am hooked! Just took some relubricating of the window tracks. Excited for camping season so we can try this out for our dog in the back so she can sleep with fresh air flowing through.
