ARB Differential Axle Breather Kit

5 reviews
In Stock

A differential/axle breather serves the important purpose on a 4WD vehicle of venting the air pressure in drivetrain assemblies such as the differential, transmission, and transfer cases. Many drivetrain assemblies are fitted with a breather from the factory. These factory breathers are usually a one-way valve mounted directly to the housing or remotely on a short tube. There are many shortcomings to this style and the ARB Differential Breather Kit is designed to eliminate these by providing a high flow, zero back pressure, zero vacuum breather system. The kit is intended to replace your factory breathers and contains enough fittings and tubing to connect at least two drivetrain assemblies.

Works great and no modifications needed

I was able to install in under 30 mins mainly just figuring out where to mount and run the lines. Works great and looks great under the hood.

A must for every off roader and over lander.

Easy install and worth the added security for rear differential.

Nice kit

Nice, complete kit with enough hose and fittings to do both the rear diff breather and the E-locker on my TRD Off Road. An inexpensive vacuum connection kit from my local auto parts store (Dorman/Help #47308) had the adapter needed to tie directly into the existing E-locker vent. Install took a few hours, but I took my time to think about placement and routing the hose. I haven’t tested this nor do I really know how you would. Maybe drive through deep water and then drain your diff and look for water contamination? Of course that wouldn’t be a very conclusive test of the breathers.

Gets it done I guess

Gets the job done. However, if you have the time, maybe look into a DIY version of this or simply replace the hose when you get this. I'm not a fan of the hose they use with this kit. Feels pretty fragile and put a permanent kink in part of it during the install. Ended up cutting that part off and not using it. Probably going to look into replacing the hose before winter hits as I'm worried it could break in cold temps.
