Alpine Bumper with Bull bar AKA Hotness!

The bumper arrived fast to Fort Lauderdale Florida (Pompano), the packaging was great, very secure and the bumper was very protected. it was easy to follow the instructions on the video on YT, please have someone help you with the installation, specially if you have a 12K winch like I do. I have used my winch several times in mud, sand, mud pits, water etc. is very very sturdy and well made. the bull bar add a very nice level of overlanding looks without having to look 100% committed lol, my 2021 SR5 is my daily driver so I love the low profile look the alpine bumper gives to my 4runner. The paint holds up very good, I have hit more than a few trees, sign poles in parking lots or shopping carts at Publix or Walmart. hopefully if 4Runner Lifestyle develops a viper cut clearance additions, they will be compatible with this bumper. I'm very happy with the purchase and all my friends are amazed by the durability, sturdiness and price point of this bumper. photos are from a 5 day offroad trip in north Florida on the F.A.T (Florida Adventure Trail.)

Great bumper, but required a little extra work.

I will echo the other reviews with regards to quality and shipping. Overall I am very happy with the bumper, but there are some things I ran in to that I did not expect. I have a ‘23 TRD Pro for reference. As others have mentioned, I also had scratches on the passenger side of the bumper. You can see them in the photo. This despite being very well packaged. I also wish that it had come with washers for the bolts that attach it to the crash bar holes. You need them for sure so buy them before you start the install. I put a Warn 10K winch on mine and that made it very heavy for the install. It was not as easy as it looks in the instruction video where they do it without a winch. For sure this is a two person job and some lifting apparatus is almost a must to get it in place. The TRD skid plate will not fit on after the install because the stock bolts will be too short and if you try to tighten them down the TRD plastic letter start to pop out. So, I had to buy longer bolts and some washers to add as spacers. Once the winch is installed with the bumper, the control box is so tight against one of the insulated tubular lines that I fear that it might break it over time. I haven’t been willing to drop this thing again to remove that control box and relocate it. I do recommend that as part of the install. The control box also pushes against the TSS radar plug in wiring harness which has caused it to malfunction once. I may have to order the C4 relocation bracket at some point, but for now I am running it as is. You can see in the photos how the TRD plate spacers helped and also the scratches I had. Once installed, though, it looks amazing. I suggest planning to relocate the control box if you use a Warn 10K as I did because once you get this bumper on, you may never want to go through that again. One reviewer recommended putting in two bolts on the bottom crash bar backwards to help guide the fit. I did that and totally agree that it is a must. What I didn’t do very well was make sure the whole thing was adjusted left to right before tightening down and covering up. Now I’m about 1/8” off, but I’m probably the only one that will notice that. Still, I suggest that last minute check before tightening down.

Great bumper

Great bumper pretty easy install you may need to cut off more than you would think around the lower valence. Don’t worry the nature of the bumper is made to hide all the cutting of that area. Small tips of install, If you are doing this installation alone thread two bolts in backwards on the frame then place this bumper on there and use those bottom screws to hold it up while you screw the other screws in the once you have the top two bolts in flip it around. It also helps to have a bolt breaker bar for extra leverage and ease of removal when taking out the crash bar bolts.
