** Please note that the flip fob ONLY works with vehicles that have a stick out key. If you have a push start vehicle this fob will NOT WORK with your key. This kit will come with a blank key that you will need to get cut. **
United StatesMultiple issues w/ this item. Followed the instructions to the letter, and it would not close properly/fold the key in. Buttons randomly activating even after adjusting the legs. Customer service from 4RL was great, however, and had a replacement sent out. New fob seems to be printed correctly, but I can tell it's not going to last very long. Housing flexes and key falls out of the retainer often. Recommend avoiding this headache.
United StatesThis product is a complete waste. I had originally bought one over summer thinking it was going to be great. I had an issue with the original one where the transponder would not entirely fit and I had to do some trimming and the flip portion of the key was not working and broke. I had gotten it to work for a while but the product came loose. If you tighten it. The outer molds squeeze the transponder and set the alarm off. In turn I had to loosen it so it would eliminate the problem. Eventually the poor quality got the best of the key and it broke. I had gotten a replacement and it was fine for a month. Then one of the bottom allen screws had fallen out and the transponder started going off for longer periods of time due to the molds pressing it together. The key did not fit entirely well together and I still had to trim some of the inside for clearance. Now the flip mechanism wants to work half of the time and I am just disappointed in this product entirely. Complete waste of a good 4runner key, $150 for the Mesos customs fob and key cut requirement after purchase. I do not want another one and wouldn't recommend to anyone.
United StatesI had originally bought one and the thought of it was amazing. If I had known what was going to come from the key. I would have never bought it and destroyed my original 4runner key fob. The product seems great and all, but after carefully putting it together. The key squishes my transponder and sets the alarm off. Even after loosening all the allen screws. The fob still sets it off from time to time. I had gotten a replacement. Went together fine. Same issue occurred, so I trimmed the inside with a rotary tool to add some clearance. A month later the quality has deteriorated and now the panic alarm gets set off more often and it is very annoying to me and I am sure my neighbors do not like me anymore. I do not wish to get another one as I know the same issue will occur and the battle is very annoying and tiring. I personally do not recommend this to anyone.
