The Sherpa Crestone Sport Toyota 4Runner Roof Rack is an all aluminum full-length roof rack designed for 2010-current 4Runners. This rack mounts without any modifications utilizing the Toyota factory mounting points.The Sport Series racks are made from high grade aluminum and feature lighter and thinner side plates, paired with our industry-leading mounting structure at the core of our PEAK Series racks. We offer the strongest aluminum mounts on the market, utilizing a direct load path and protecting your vehicle with rubber roof seals. Sport Series are our lowest profile racks to date making it easier to fit your truck in tight spaces or under that pesky garage door. Our rack systems feature aluminum extrusion crossbars and large slots so you can reconfigure your rack for any need. Our drop-in nuts fall right into the crossbar slots, allow for quick accessory mounting and ensure you are always prepared for any adventure from hauling a bike to the trail to a weekend fly fishing in the mountains. The Crestone Sport was the perfect option for my needs. The rack shipped quickly from 4RL and was easy to install.. Looks great on my 5th gen Venture too!

Amazing !

I find this rack to be amazing over all. It’s a lot lighter than the first crestone we used before . It was however not the easiest to set up. There isn’t directions to my knowledge for this one. The original Crestone directions help tho but this one doesn’t sit as low so it leaves questionable heights along the sides(took a lot of adjusting) The fairing I’m not fond of tho with how it is supposed to be installed and stays on. I ended up buying another cross bar and mounting it to a bar to mount it to the sides . A way better lockdown over all and added more structure to the rack for a better squared lockdown .

Lite-Overlander Necessity

I had a friend recommend Sherpa roof racks to me when I was in the market and I saw that Sherpa recently came out with the Sport. My primary use is going to be for overlanding with minor wheeling (this is also my daily/ lifetime driver) so I enjoy its super low profile and bought the half-height light bar option. I also find their roof racks very aesthetically pleasing to the eye so it was an easy choice. Bought it on Black Friday, & it arrived within 2 weeks. I downloaded the installation instructions from my phone and they were extremely simple to follow. I was able to complete the installation by myself and I’d say I’m an intermediate handy-lady, took about 2.5 hours using an A-ladder. Simple tools needed, the only one that threw me was needing a 20”/lb torque wrench but I do carry that in my garage toolbox luckily, just a heads up. Also, the instructions don’t say anything about re-applying Loctite even though the original stock rack did have it. It’s my rig, so I decided to apply it to the provided bolts and will probably go back in to also apply a silicone sealant to really ensure I get it nice and watertight. I think my only regret is that I didn’t consider dynamic weight as a factor. It’s making RTT shopping a bit more difficult because there are fewer RTTs that are sub-100 lbs and extravagantly more options over 150lbs. That’s my fault though for not researching harder so just be aware if that’s your objective. Honestly, I’m glad to have the light-weight limit though. I’d prefer not to make my 4R top-heavy for safety reasons so it suits my driving preference best. Overall, 5 stars for installation, 5 stars for looks, 5 stars for lack of wind noise. If you want to use it to load all types of heavy equipment up top your 4Runner, you should probably consider getting the original Crestone, not the Sport. Thanks, Lifestyle!
