DESCRIPTION

Fits: 2010+ 4Runner

What It Does

  • Corrects improper bushing angles caused by front suspension lifts. Optimized for 2–3"+ of lift, where bushing bind typically begins around the 2" mark.

  • Keeps your sway bar up high and out of harm’s way — no more drop spacers.

  • Frees up the KDSS system to cycle correctly for full droop and better articulation.

  • Extends bushing life and prevents premature KDSS strut failure.

  • Allows more travel if you have a shock that allows more travel

  • Made from 7075 aircraft-grade billet aluminum — not 6061 like cheap knockoffs.

  • DO NOT USE THESE IN CONJUNCTION WITH KDSS FRONT DROP SPACER.  ITS ONE OR THE OTHER.  WE OBVIOUSLY RECOMMEND THE ADAPTERS! 

Why You Need It

  • Lifted KDSS rigs get a bad front bushing angle. That binding kills your bushings and can even cause metal-on-metal contact.

  • These adapters fix that geometry so the sway bar cycles clean, the bushings last, and you get smoother suspension travel.

  • If you’re running extended or long-travel shocks (Total Chaos +2, etc.), this mod is almost mandatory.

Design & Strength

  • The original DRKDSS KDSS adapter — not a copy.

  • CNC-machined from 7075 billet aluminum for maximum strength and lightweight durability.

  • V2 = 3 mounting holes for adjustability.

  • V3 = same strength, now supports GX470 compatibility. Must use our bushing bracket   Also 2010+ kdss bushings 

  • Anodized in black for superior corrosion protection.

  • Sold in pairs (driver + passenger).

Install Notes

  • GX470 users: must install with DRKDSS Bushing Brackets.

    • If not using them, you’ll need to modify OEM bracket hooks and holes.

  • Cannot be used with KDSS drop spacers.

    • Both push the sway bar forward, causing frame/skid interference.

  • Designed for stock KDSS mounts on lower control arms.

  • Great around 2”+ lifts with bad bushing angle.

  • Easy install with hand tools.

  • Factory bushing bracket bottom hooks must be cut off.

  • SMALL CASE/VERY SMALL CHANCE THAT YOUR WHEELS CAN BE TOO WIDE OR OFFSET WITH LARGE NEGATIVE OFFSET CAN MAKE THE WHEELS JUST CONTACT THE WHEEL BEFORE FULL LOCK.  Please make sure you have  0.60” clearance from oem bushing bracket at full lock.

What vehicles do the KDSS front sway bar end adapters fit?

These adapters fit 2010+ Toyota 4Runner (Gen 4 & 5)

Do I need these if I've lifted my KDSS vehicle?

If you've lifted 2" or more, yes. Lifting changes the front sway bar bushing angle, causing bind that accelerates bushing wear and can lead to premature KDSS strut failure. These adapters correct that geometry.

Can I use these with KDSS front drop spacers?

No — do not use both together. Both push the sway bar forward and will cause frame or skid interference. The end adapters replace the drop spacer setup entirely, and we think they're the better solution.

What makes these different from cheaper alternatives?

These are the original DrKDSS adapters — CNC-machined from 7075 aerospace-grade billet aluminum, not the more common 6061 used in knockoffs. Designed in California, anodized black, and sold as a pair (driver + passenger).
