I almost gave this a 4star because I was missing connections on delivery. They responded very quickly, especially since it was the 4th of July. Even without them being installed fully the look nice

Best pillar lights

These led pillar lights are the best new accessory for people to see you at night …they have a cool start up sequence and work with your turn signal and brake lights …. You have many choices with the install drilling wasn’t what I wanted to do … I found a way to run it through the liner and wiring harness on the tailgate… took about 2 hours to fish the wire through and clean up the cables … 1 suggestion would be to makes the cables longer to be able to have some slack to work with

A really great idea to add a lot of warning

The drilling was the hardest part, emotionally. Running the wires after that was simple. Maybe provide some loom in the kit for those who forget. And let’s make good use of some black RTV sealant/adhesive on those new holes and, really, any holes. I took a look at running through the existing conduit and decided against it. Oh, and just break and replace that clip at the top of the panels. When I pulled it was either break the tab or break the part in the panel. I found a small tab that fit and clipped in nicely. So far they have been snug and reliable. The only negative I would note is the light output. Better leds could easily make these brighter and some optics would be a big help. But this is a great start to what can be an excellent product. And if you make it in different colors (I’d especially love a yellow turn) like blue you can sell it to the Hawaiian PDs. I hear they love their 4R’s and there’s not a lot of options for those guys.
