Upgraded 4Runner Hatch Lighting

Easy install to upgrade the lights in the rear hatch. More light than stock lights. Nice benefit of optional red LED's to preserve night vision. Just wish MESO would make more of the overhead and map lights that seem to be continually out of stock.

5 star product, but lost a star as I had a slightly difficult install

The product is great, the white lights are extremely bright and the red light is perfect for night. However, during the install the small copper plate that manages the on, off and door on switch got bent. This caused the switch to fail, get stuck, and the light to flick on and off. It took almost an hour to bend that plate back to the normal position and make sure it worked properly. It’s an extremely fragile part that the instructions I read and videos I watched did not warn me about. Needs better instructions or better disassembly process.

Hatch Lights

Install was easy, I really like the red light functionality. Only concern I have is that my cargo will damage the LEDs since they are in the open. The LEDs are recessed some which will help, but a pointy object I think could still damage it.
