Midland X-Talker Two-Way Radios

Up until now, I’ve been using freebie “walkie talkies” on the trails and they have performed as about as expected. You definitely get what you pay for (or didn’t), and it was time for an upgrade!
The Midland Radio X-Talker set is an awesome, entry-level setup for anyone. Not everyone is ready to take the plunge and invest time or money into high-powered radios, including me. What these provide is a solid, clear communication line between you and your buddies - perfect for spotting on the trails.
With 36 channels, 121 privacy codes, and 38 miles of range (in ideal conditions) - this radio set is perfect for the casual weekend warrior. Realistically, I’ll never have more than a mile between rigs when using these, so there’s plenty of buffer range!
Best of all, these are license-free FRS radio units (unlike GMRS or ham) - so they’re legal and ready to go out of the box. I would highly recommend them!
